LAKE EUNICE TOWNSHIP Crystal Myers, Clerk 18620 Sportsman Rd Audubon, MN 56511 (218) 439-3001 (218) 234-9266 Treasurer: Ruth Pung Chairman: James Renslow Supervisors: Michael Reep Lloyd Kohler The Lake Eunice Township board held their monthly meeting at the town hall on November 6, 2007 at 7:05pm, All board members were present. The minutes from October were approved as written by a motion from M Reep, 2nd by L Kohler and it carried. The treasurer's report was approved by a motion from L Kohler, 2nd by M Reep and it carried. Jim Runger V'Jas present from N Pearl Lk Rd in regards to the proposed paving of the road. He provided and estimate of costs as well as a list of parcel owners on the road. He would like to know how much per person this would cost so that they can decide. He also questioned whether this project would be cost shared by the township. The board will look at this and get a rough figure on the cost per property owner. He also questioned a noise ordinance for the township. Sheriff Tim Gordon was present to discuss this and brought the choice of the township to get involved with the enforcement of this or to let the county enforce this if it becomes an ordinance which is being discussed on the county level. The issue of collecting fines becomes a problem and the cost of enacting this ordinance through zoning. His suggestion was for the townships to collectively approach the commissioners to have a countywide ordinance. M Reep made a motion to draft a letter to request this ordinance from the county, 2nd by L Kohler and it carried. Sheriff Tim Gordon also clarified that he did not suggest speed bumps but rather a rumble strip. He also suggested not removing any stop signs but just stay on top of reminding people that they have to completely stop. He is watching this at various times to try to enforce this. Roy Smith of Meadowland Surveying was present in regards to an area on the NE side of Lake Maud that he had been asked to survey back in September 2000 and billed and sent the report letter in 2004 and the delay was due to medical issues in his family that affected the bookkeeping of the business. Due to the fact that this bill could have been assessed back to the project at that time L Kohler made a motion to pay this bill at a reduced amount of $2,000.00, 2nd by M Reep and it carried. George Wynn present with a plat for Blackhawk Country Estates on the corner of Blackhawk Rd and County 6. L Kohler and J Renslovv took a look at the road and he 'vvas told to clean up the approach and put stop signs in as well as his covenants include the fact that there is only one road off of the to'vvnship road allowed. L Kohler made a motion to accept the plat, 2nd by M Reep and it carried. L Kohler made a motion to have Pat Kenney look into turning Maple Lodge Rd back into a 4 rod road, 2nd by M Reep and it carried. L Kohler made a motion to place a snow fence up on Blackhawk Rd and we'll have Pat Kenney send a letter to Grenhaugen, 2nd by M Reep and it carried.
